First Digital Practice in Alabama
Physicians switch to digital

A Birmingham orthopedic group has launched what is believed to be Alabama's first all-digital physician practice.
The move comes as more and more health care facilities, primarily hospitals, have begun embracing technology to improve operating efficiencies and patient care and safety.
With the changeover, Baptist Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Specialists PC - on the Baptist Montclair campus - has moved from paper patient records and diagnostic images on film to all electronic applications.
